About the Project

Noted represents Tinderhouse's venture into the SaaS development space, addressing a critical gap in the construction and field services industry. We designed and developed both the promotional website and the complete SaaS platform from the ground up, creating a solution that provides organisations with their own branded mobile application rather than a shared platform.

The project required a sophisticated architecture that would serve multiple client organisations simultaneously whilst maintaining complete data separation and security. Each customer receives a fully customised mobile app bearing their own branding, distributed through official app stores under their identity, and managed entirely through Noted's subscription service.

What sets Noted apart is its focus on genuine field usability. Construction sites and remote locations often lack reliable internet connectivity, so we built the entire system with an offline-first approach. Field workers can capture notes, photographs, complete checklists and manage tasks without any connection, with all data intelligently synchronising once connectivity is restored.

The Challenge

We developed native iOS and Android applications that each client organisation could brand as their own. This approach, using proven native app development techniques, meant construction firms could offer their field teams a professional, company-branded tool rather than asking them to use yet another third-party platform. Intelligent Offline Functionality

The mobile applications were architected with offline capability at their core. Field workers can access their workspace, capture photographs, complete checklists, write notes and update task statuses without any internet connection. The system queues all changes locally and intelligently synchronises with the server once connectivity returns, resolving any conflicts automatically.

Comprehensive Admin Portal

We built a powerful web-based administration portal using ExpressionEngine CMS, PHP and MySQL. Office administrators can onboard new team members, create projects and boards, assign tasks, monitor progress and communicate with field teams. The portal provides a complete overview of all field operations whilst maintaining the flexibility to customise workflows for different types of projects.

Workspace and Task Management

The platform implements a flexible workspace structure with boards, Kanban-style lists and individual task cards. This familiar project management interface allows teams to visualise workflows, track progress and manage complex projects with multiple moving parts. Integrated calendar functionality ensures deadlines and schedules remain visible to all team members.

Communication and Notifications

We implemented a sophisticated notification system that alerts field workers to new job allocations, messages and updates. The messaging feature provides secure, timestamped communication channels tied directly to specific projects and tasks, eliminating the need for separate messaging apps or email chains.

The Results

Successful SaaS Launch with Multiple Subscription Tiers

Noted launched with three comprehensive subscription tiers ranging from £375 to £890 per month, providing organisations of different sizes with appropriate feature sets and user limits. Tinderhouse handles all ongoing responsibilities including App Store and Google Play distribution, app updates, server maintenance and customer support as part of the monthly subscription.

Complete Data Security and Isolation

By providing each customer with their own dedicated, branded application rather than a shared platform, Noted eliminates data leakage concerns that plague multi-tenant systems. Construction firms gain the confidence that their project information, client data and operational details remain completely isolated from other organisations.
